Still
"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."

- James 4: 14 (King James Version)
Last Monday, I flew back from my old hometown, Surabaya, to Pangkalan Bun. I took the first flight. There were quite some turbulences while I was flying back to Pangkalan Bun.
When I landed on Pangkalan Bun, I got news about a plane from Jakarta- Pangkal Pinang was losing its contact. Lion Air JT-610 flew with 179 adult passengers, 1 kid, 2 babies along with a pilot, a co-pilot, and 5 flight attendants. After the plane took off, it was reported asking permission to get back to Soekarno-Hatta airport, however it went missing on radar. Some eye witnesses then reported about the plane crashing on sea of 32 meters depth, on north of Karawang.
The findings are devastating. Some debris of the plane and the passengers' belonging could be found floating. Families are in pain of losing their beloved ones. The rescue teams are still working hard to find the plane's body and most of the passengers' bodies too. Deep sympathy for their families.
I think that human's life is so fragile. The life is so short. We can plan this and that, but only God who can guarantee our lives. While I was up on the sky and had turbulences, I prayed to God to protect me. However, if the death comes to us, no one can reject it.
Death is a mystery for us who are still alive. Death is unpredictable and an unknown realm for us, the mortal being. Thus, I believe that my God guarantee my life after death. Therefore, I can be still while the oceans rise and thunders roar. I have a calmness in Jesus Christ, my God. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end.
